Services

  • We provide assistance to small business owners to expand their business into federal, state, regional, county, and local markets with government agencies, and military installations. PTAC staff provides advising, training, and networking opportunities through specialized classes, monthly networking meetings, matchmaking events, and one-on-one assistance. In addition to the following services:

  • UTSA has added a new program to assist business owners, especially those in construction related industries, interested in doing business with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This program is the Alliance and operates as a resource available in the UTSA Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) office area.

  • Small Business Cybersecurity Awareness

    Come and learn how to become compliant with regulations to do business with the federal government. Participants will leave each session with an action plan on the steps needed to meet the requirement for the topics covered that day. The guidelines put into effect December of 2017 make business owners and managers responsible for office operations and a formalized plan.

  • The UTSA Institute for Economic Development administers programs to assist veterans, active duty military, National Guard, and reservists and their dependents and spouses to realize the dream of owning a successful business. The programs provide a one-stop shop for military personnel and veterans to obtain information and link to resources to start and expand their small business.
