Procurement Business Matchmaking Events (Registration Coming Soon!)
The UTSA PTAC is hosting a Business Matchmaking Session in Austin designed to provide all small business owners from all industries the opportunity to connect with local, state, and federal agencies. The desired outcome include immediate connections for purchase orders and contract opportunities during and after the sessions. We are seeking local, state, and Federal Agencies and Prime Contractors to MATCH with Small Business Owners.
The small business owner will benefit by:
- Meeting a variety of government agencies to increase exposure and opportunities for their small business clients.
- Have the opportunity to meet a wider variety of small businesses seeking teaming opportunities on contract/ projects.
- Increase visibility/ contract opportunities in all of the PTAC coverage area by hosting in three primary locations (San Antonio, San Marcos, and Austin).
- Connect with key purchasing point of contacts in San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Austin markets.
- Having the opportunities to connect with all major industry fields (NAICS/ PSC) representatives (prime contractors, local, state, and federal).
- Having time to connect with their peers (maybe future business connections)
TRAINING BEFORE EVENT:
How to Prepare for Small Business Matchmaking Events Training

These training will provide business owners some tips on preparing for any match making event. Some of the topics include: Quick review of “need to know” prior to doing business with the prime contractors, local, state, federal agencies, overview of small business owner local, state, and federal certifications, Elevator Pitch (practice time), high quality capability statement (purpose, format, content, structure, & value), free templates/ samples of capability statements, and homework necessary to prepare the small business owner for any business owner match making event.
